Common questions
What is a sinking fund?
Money you set aside a little at a time for a cost you know is coming, like car registration, insurance or holiday gifts. When the bill comes, the money has been set aside.
Why per payday instead of per month?
Money arrives on paydays. If you're paid every 2 weeks, some months have three paydays, so a monthly figure doesn't line up with when you can move money.
Does this save my numbers?
No. The calculator does its math in your browser. What you type in it isn't sent to us, and we don't save it.
Is this financial advice?
No. It's arithmetic on the amounts and dates you enter. It doesn't move money or judge what you can afford.
